The easiest way to think of cutting compounds, is essentially as high-grade wet and dry papers, but supplied in a paste format. You are probably familiar with other cutting compounds, such as T-Cut, but  Farecla G3 offers a finer, potentially less damaging option. You can use it to gently smooth out any imperfections and increase the gloss finish to lacquers.

It is also used for restoring old paintwork and cutting back repairs, where there has been over application. This is the gentlest method to try out first - if this does not work, then you can try 2000 grade paper. If this does not achieve the result that you need and it is necessary to cut back the lacquer further, using 1200 or 1500 grade wet and dry paper should help you do this. You may need to apply an extra coat of lacquer afterwards, in order to avoid any visible scratch marks.

- You can apply this product by hand, using a cloth https://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/motorcycle-product-details.php?category=Finishing%20materials&productid=504 or with a machine polisher.

- The first step is to ensure that the surface has been wiped clean. Using Panel Wipe, a powerful degreasant https://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/motorcycle-product-details.php?category=Preparation%20materials&productid=004  Apply with a soft cloth.

-           - You can then apply a small amount of Farecla to your cloth or waffle pad (machine) and buff this gently over the affected surface. Small circles or cross hatch buffing is the best application. https://www.farecla.com/products/g3-pro-scratch-remover

-  To begin with, use a damp cloth, so that the paste is diluted and the cutting effect is reduced.

After this, you will need to buff the surface with a clean, dry microfibre cloth and inspect the area.

Not glossy enough? Add a little more product if necessary and buff again for a finer, high gloss finish. You can then proceed with high-grade wet and dry papers if necessary. https://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/motorcycle-product-details.php?category=Preparation%20materials&productid=005

Please remember that the lacquer MUST be fully cured before you attempt to polish or cut. You can refer to your product instructions https://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/datasheets/2klaqnoniso-instructions.pdf for information regarding drying and curing times.
